It’s not easy to say goodbye to a friend, but this month we did just that with Rock Band. But we also said hello to a few new friends we discovered at PAX East. It doesn’t make the pain go away, just a bit easier.

This week, Edie Sellers, Nick Dinicola, and Dave Gardner wrap up what they’ve been playing and the news they’ve been hearing since PAX East.

And we announce a bit of a format change for GameHounds. Beginning this week, our regular weekly GameHounds is going to be a bit shorter.

Don’t worry! We are creating a BRAND NEW SHOW just for those of you who want to be more engaged with us, called “GameHounds: Happy Endings.” After we record our regular show, we will be live on Spreaker to do more thorough reviews of the games we’ve played, fight our our disagreements, and get even more relaxed.

It’s our own reality show, and you can be part of it.

So if you haven’t already, sign up for Spreaker and get wired in. We will go live on Wednesday, April 10 at noon Pacific/3 p.m. Eastern. So get your Spreaker account and be ready to sign in to our chat.

This week’s show topics include:

  • Reviews of Guns of Icarus (PC); Galaxy on Fire 2 (PC); Armor 3 demo (PC); Dishonored (Xbox 360); Game of Thrones premier; Bioshock Infinite (Xbox 360)
  • Disney shutters LucasArts, shifting it from development to a licensing model, and cancels two titles. Ew.
  • Rock Band is dead. Long live Rock Band.
  • UK agency rules Aliens: Colonial Marines advertising misleading and Sega includes a disclaimer to its ads.
  • Square Enix cans Yoichi Wada after Tomb Raider is a wild success but misses even more wildly unrealistic expectations.
  • John Riccitiello steps down from Electronic Arts for, roughly, the same reason.
  • Gearbox raises level cap for Borderlands 2. Finally.
  • Chiefs at the Independent Game Developers Association step down after GDC party features scantily clad female dancers, insulting women developers.
  • Ouya to launch June 4 for $99.
  • Buck or Chuck: Prime’s Quest, Combo Crew, Third Eye Crime. Cognition Adventure Game, Warframe,

Enjoy!
